Why is this music on the Paris Anniversary Celebration?

David Franke met Saso in Nashville at a gathering of the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CASS)), where David was working a booth for a friend, Kirk Sand of Sand Guitars.


David was demonstrating a Richard Smith guitar when Saso asked to play it. An hour later, Saso was still playing the guitar, surrounded by an appreciative crowd. Saso Zver attends Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.


Paris Cleaners and David Franke give a big thanks to Saso and friends for writing and performing the wonderful commemorative music for the Paris 100th Anniversary!

Saso’s Music

Saso Zver’s intricate finger-picking acoustic guitar music is derivative of Chet Atkins style, with a fusion of jazz, blues, hills folk and a Slovenian gypsy mandolin chop. Saso has played with Tommy Emmanuel, Woody Mann, Lasse Johansson, Pete Huttlinger, Dave Goodman, Mike Brosnan and others.

Kirk Sand, who grew up in Springfield, IL, founded several Bands in Springfield.

Kirk left Springfield with his guitar, a used window van and a dream.

He co-founded The Guitar Shoppe in 1972 with James Matthews, and the shop is still located in Laguna Beach California.

In 1979, Kirk's 20 years of experience and vast knowledge of guitar restoration and repair combined when he hand-crafted his own guitar design and the first Sand Guitar was created.
