Paris Cleaners Being Green has always been important to us!
For 100 tree rings Paris has
reduced, reused and recycled.
Paris is concerned with how we can do our part to contribute to the conservation of our environment.

No Perc
Paris uses a petroleum based solvent, DF2000. You do not have to fear potentially harmful fumes remaining on your clean clothing and out-gassing into your home from the use of perchloroethylene (perc). Paris has never used perc. As more cleaners are learning, perc is not only bad for the environment but also a hazard to your health. More information... But at Paris we have never used perc, “easier” or not, Paris won’t trade simple for what is better for you.Recycle Your Hangers at Paris
The Peoples Republic of China controls the wire hanger production to America. Keep USA dollars in America and keep hangers out of landfills! Help us reach our goal of using 100% recycled hangers in 2007!Help us Reduce Plastic Bag Waste
COMING SOON to Paris: Reusable garment bags that convert to a tote bag. Use the bag to collect your dry cleaning items, bring your clothing to Paris to be cleaned in the bag, and take your clean clothing home in the garment bag. Your bag will be labeled with your name so you will always receive clothing in your own bag, and Paris will clean the bag for free when needed. You will only receive items in a plastic bag when they won’t fit into the garment bag. We're taking orders now for $6 per bag - call 217-522-3313 or email us at Info@ParisDryCleaners.com and reserve your bags. It’s that easy to help our environment and eliminate plastic bag waste!Solvent Reclamation
One of the most important things Paris does, and has always done, is that we reclaim 94% of our DF2000 solvent in order to use less, causing less of an impact on the environment.Hot Water Conservation
Paris’ boiler uses a hot water return system reducing water usage by 84%. This is an age old practice that Paris has been using just as long. We heat our water using a steam heat exchanger thus eliminating the need for water heaters, cutting down on water usage and electricity! Talk about two birds with one stone!Recycling & Reuse
Another way Paris is green is by recycling plastic garment film through a heat sealer to fit the individual garment, which has reduced our plastic waste by 30%!
Paris is a devout recycler of cardboard boxes, plastic containers and discarded paper in order to make sure Paris puts out as little waste as possible.
Not only do we at Paris strive to continue to be green but we are always looking for more ways to improve. Got any suggestions? Let us know!
